A cruise ship at anchor in the fjord below a steep mountainside, sea mist across the water and a tender heading ashore
Cruise

Shore excursions from the Djúpivogur pier.

Your ship is in port. The glacier is waiting.

We are the local operator in the Southeast: our own coaches, guides who live on this coast, and pier-to-pier timings we have driven ourselves.

Plan your call with the primary local operator in the Southeast.Travel with guides who grew up on this coast and live in the shadow of Vatnajökull.

What we run

A full programme, from a short call to a long one.

A full programme of excursions from the pier at Djúpivogur and from Höfn — glacier lagoons, the dramatic coast, Vestrahorn, horses, reindeer and geothermal baths. Durations from under two hours to a full day, so a short call and a long one are both covered.

The current programme, with inclusions and verified timings, goes out to cruise lines, DMCs and agents on request.

Why operators book us

Timings that hold, and a phone that gets answered.

Timings that hold

Every itinerary is timed pier to pier on the actual road, not estimated from a map. Guests are back when we say they will be.

Local guides, not seasonal scripts

Our guides live here. They have watched the glacier retreat within their own lifetimes and can say so first-hand.

We answer our own phone

A family company. When a call day changes at short notice, you are talking to the person who decides.

Who we work with

Trusted by the trade.

We sell through Iceland Travel, Atlantik and Nonni, and we have had successful collaborations with agencies and operators from all over the world.

Good to know

Questions we get from operators.

Which ports do you operate from, and how far do the tours reach?

Djúpivogur and Höfn. We can also provide private tours for passengers arriving in Seyðisfjörður.

How many coaches can you put out on one call day?

We can provide up to 12 coaches in a single day.

What happens if the ship arrives late?

That is subject to individual cancellation policies agreed in advance.

What happens if the weather turns?

We will gladly advise in case of bad weather, and will always try to run the tours if we deem it safe. Safety is our primary concern.

How accessible are the tours?

Most of the tours are fully accessible. A couple can prove difficult for wheelchairs and walkers, but our staff can help in most cases.

What languages do your guides work in?

Our tours are primarily guided in English, and we have access to French-, German- and Spanish-speaking guides.

Can you cover dietary requirements on tours with food?

Yes. We can accommodate almost every dietary requirement, in collaboration with our local restaurants.

Lead times, cancellation terms, insurance and licensing we go through with you directly — get in touch and we will send everything over.

Questions about a call day, or a private tour?

We answer the same day. Ask for the programme, or tell us the day you have in mind.
